A Little Bit More…

Willa King (She/Her) graduated from London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), with a joint honours degree from King's College London. Being deeply immersed in theatre and film from an early age has underpinned Willa's natural performing talent with a respect for the craft and all those involved in the creative process.

Childhood memories of rehearsal rooms and theatre venues continue to shape Willa’s deeply ingrained appreciation for the magic of live performance and audience connection.

She has worked on a range projects which include traditional narrative theatre, live improvisation performance at the Royal Academy of Art in London, singing for audiences on Cunard's flagship Queen Mary II,  and Shakespeare at the Bristol Old Vic.

Willa has directed independent work and produced a one-woman showcase in London. Her work includes theatre, film, voice-over, corporate, and accent work. Willa has a strong alto singing voice, most likely the result of her inherited musical ear from her mother, opera singer Isobel Buchanan.

In 2016, Willa earned a Master's Degree in Film & Television Studies, graduating with Merit from the University of Bristol. Willa's writing includes an investigative study into the film industry during Australia's second wave of the 1970s and extensive research into women's contributions to cinema throughout the 20th century. She is currently working on an investigative study into perception of Shakespeare’s women.

Willa is a keen traveller, cook and historian. Living in Italy for 3 years she also speaks confident conversational Italian. She has lived in Singapore, Mongolia and India, relocating to Sydney in from the UK in 2024.
